The Goal Book

A wish is a feeling. A goal has edges.

Four people and a convener meet one Tuesday night a week in the community room of a public library to work through the ten chapters of a goal book. Each episode follows one member's week, names the misstep, and shows one different move.

Who it's for

What people learn

  • Where your attention goes is where you end up, and an untended mind drifts toward what's wrong.
  • Find one aim that is yours rather than borrowed, and state it in two sentences.
  • Give a goal edges: an amount, a date, a price, a plan, and a first step written as a when-then.
  • Answer your own narrator, build belief from evidence, and keep going in February, when most people stop.
